Dr. Fred Vagnini Joins XM Satellite Radio

Frederic J. Vagnini MD, FACS, (“Dr. V”), whose popular health education radio talk show has been broadcast on WOR 710 for the past decade in the New York metro region, will expand his listening audiences with a regular program on XM Satellite Radio, though which he will be heard by audiences across the county. The new nationwide program will be called The Heart & Longevity Show and will take calls from listeners.

Dr. Vagnini, a board certified heart surgeon and cardiology specialist, conducts his practice at the Heart Diabetes, and Weight Loss Centers of New York in Manhattan and Westbury, Long Island. The practice is dedicated to prevention of cardiovascular and related diseases through early diagnosis of risk conditions, and by nutritional management and lifestyle changes.

Dr. Vagnini is also a strong advocate, through his radio shows and website newsletters, of health education, contending that health knowledge is the first phase of disease prevention. He is the author of several books, including the New York Times bestseller The Carbohydrate Addict’s Healthy Heart Program. His latest book is 30 Minutes a Day to a Healthy Heart, a Reader’s Digest publication.

As a regular on XM Satellite Radio, Dr. Vagnini joins a host of celebrities that includes Bob Dylan, Dr. James Dobson, and Friends of Oprah Winfrey.
