Mary
Infantino Joins the Staff
of the Heart, Diabetes
& Weight Loss Centers
of New York

Mary
Infantino RN, PhD,
a Doctor of Nursing and
Board Certified in Advanced
Practice (APRN-BC), has
joined the staff of Dr.
Frederic J. Vagnini’s
Heart, Diabetes
& Weight Loss Centers
of Manhattan and Westbury,
Long Island. The Centers
are dedicated to prevention
and nutrition in the treatment
of cardiovascular-related
disease, including hypertension,
diabetes, and obesity.
Dr.
Infantino (“Mary”),
a Magna Cum Laude graduate
of Molloy College and
Aldephi University, has
assumed a full range of
patient care responsibilities
in the Centers; these
include intake physicals,
diagnostics, prescriptions
– in general, assisting
Dr. Vagnini in most aspects
of patient care as well
as providing consulting
and health education programs.
She brings to the Centers
extensive experience in
adult women’s health
and is certified as an
Adult Nurse Practitioner
by the American Nurses
Association and the New
York State Nurses Association.
At the
Centers, Dr. Infantino
she will direct the Woman’s
Health and Alzheimer’s
Prevention and Evaluation
Programs. An avid gardener,
Dr. Infantino has published
“Gardening: A Strategy
for Health Promotion in
Older Women” (Journal
of New York State Nurses
Association, Winter/2005),
in addition to numerous
articles and presentations
before professional groups.
Dr.
Vagnini’s Centers,
established in 1988, provide
diagnostic and preventive
services to patients based
on the sound knowledge
that heart attacks and
strokes can be prevented.
In addition to his clinical
practice, Dr. Vagnini
conducts a weekly health
education radio call-in
show on WOR 710, Sundays
4 PM, and is the author
of several books, the
latest of which is 30
Minutes a Day to a Healthy
Heart (Readers Digest
Books, 2005).
