   Cholesterol Herbal Remedy

Organic is the new buzzword for today’s era and if something is not organically grown then it is not worth eating. The same seems to be applying to the pharmaceutical trade as people are turning more and more away from the products of laboratories and towards natural remedies. In any health shop today a person is likely find anything from an herbal cholesterol remedy to an herbal headache remedy. Why all these natural remedies are well and good many people may not realize just exactly what all this means.

Items like an herbal cholesterol remedy fall under the category of herbalism. Herbalism is an umbrella term that is used to describe the traditional medicinal practices of people by using plants and plant extracts to alleviate or cure medical problems. It has many other names and is sometimes used to include the use items such as animal products and certain natural occurring minerals. There is a lot of controversy associated with the use of herbal remedies and the scientific and medical communities argue that many herbal remedies may actually endanger a person’s life more than it is helping them to recover. Aside from a few exceptions there is little to no proof that many herbal remedies are safe to use or even do as they claim to do.

Herbal remedies can be administered in a number of ways and is dependent on the plant being used and the properties that need to be enhanced. Extracting certain part of the plant can increase certain properties while reducing others. The easiest way to administer an herbal remedy is by simply eating the necessary plant in question. Other methods include making a tea from the plants, making an alcoholic extract of the plant called a tincture, inhaling the vapors created by the plant in a form of aromatherapy and many more. An herbal cholesterol remedy might come in any of these forms depending on the specific plant that is being use to create the remedy with.

Since we have been mentioning an herbal cholesterol remedy throughout, let us take a look at some possible natural remedies for cholesterol. Three generally available items that are said to be useful in reducing cholesterol levels include artichokes, lemon grass, garlic, and honey. Some more exotic plants that help to control cholesterol include Indian bedellium and arjuna. The latter plants have been used in countries like India for centuries and today they are going through a revival as their healing properties are being discovered all over again. There are many other herbal cholesterol remedies available and a visit to a local health shop or experts like Vagnini will reveal more the possibilities.

The debate around the validity and safety of an herbal cholesterol remedy or any other herbal remedy will continue for some time yet. Until these products are fully tested it is unlikely that the scientific and medical communities will accept them. In the end it is up to the person using them to decide which is best of the their continued health and happiness.
